This is the correct subject: Cannot find the diameter symbol in the "Special Characters" area versus "Cannot find the Degree symbol" Sorry about the screw up.

It's Unicode 00B0 just about a line after the standard English alphabet. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.6 on Fedora 18, LibreOffice 4.0.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 (Double Boot) |

Mr Tucker,
Thanks for your reply but I don't know where 00B0 is nor where the standard English alphabet is in Open Office.org writer.

It's nowhere in Writer, it's in the Insert - Special characters dialog box. Think.
Hint: 7th row, far right character on my system. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista
