| I can not figure out how to work in U.S. dollars with out manually entering the decimal point. How can I set up calc to make 367 enter as $3.67 and not $367.00 without manually entering a decimal point between 3 and 6? Sorry-it's a pretty basic question but I am stumped! Thanks-tb |

There are no Dollars nor Euros nor Rubel in a spreadsheet. There are only numbers.
2.436,99€ is the exact same value as $2,436.99
The number format is cosmetic just like the color, font or the border of a cell. _________________ Rest in peace, oooforum.org

| Villeroy-Thanks for the quick reply. I had only specified U.S. dollars for clarity, in case it was needed. What I'd like to do in calc is available in Excel, and that is to enter, for example, 367 and have it appear as 3.67 and not 367., without manually entering the decimal between the three and the six. When working with all currency numbers in a spreadsheet, it's so much faster to have the decimal point set itself two to the left so it's defining the dollars and cents automatically. Is there a way to do that in the settings? |

Sorry, this does not work in Calc. You may enter Cents and divide by 100. _________________ Rest in peace, oooforum.org
