Hi Guys,
1) I have experienced a bit of an irregularity when calculating numbers in currency. In short, of the number gets over about £1000, it just shows ### where it should have a total.
However, when I use the cell the number is displayed in (showing ###) on another page, it actually shows the exact number!
Can anyone explain that?
2) I have a simple calc which is an IF statement, and then if something is written in a cell is calculates it. The math works fine, but where I have my Qty column, I sometimes want to write above numbers 'Qty' so its obvious what the number is.
Of course, on writing 'Qty' is messes up the formula, and shows #VALUE! in my Total column and causes the whole calculation of my totals to not work.
Now, its not essential, I can simply delete the formula for that cell, but if I want to change my rows around it means I need to remember to paste or put back the forumula...... Does anyone have a work around to this?
3) Fairly simple. I have a system that calculates, and its great. However, obviously if I insert a row, it doesn't put any of that formula into the columns and I have to do it.
It may sound prudish, but I use a lot of hidden columns for my formulas so that can't be deleted/changed by accident.
Is there a way to get it so that when a row is added it automatically pastes in the formula above or below it, with the relevant row change to make the formula automatically work in that row?
Cheers

1) You might want to check the width of the column. If the total can't fit in the cell, it often defaults to ###. That is purely visual, and usually fixes itself when the cell.
2) sounds like you need to adjust the formula range just needs to be adjusted so the top row isn't included.
3) Not sure about that one. Sorry. _________________ Laugh at life or life will laugh at you. |
