Ledger Layout in Writer (or Impress) 2.2 ???

I am looking for instructions on how to either

a) make an Impress presentation display and print out on 11x17 (ledger size) landscape orientation

or

b) instructions on how to do the same for Writer.


Detailed instructions are welcome- although I use bother Writer and Impress quite a bit, I usually don't fiddle much with the default settings, so I may not know exactly how to get to some of the more esoteric settings

Ledger is called Tabloid in OOo, in Writer you can use Format - Page; select Tabloid and set orientation to landscape. Same options for Impress.
If you don't want all pages in landscape orientation, you will have to fiddle around with page styles. See Tutorial on Page styles and headers/footers for an introduction.

If you mean you're still on OOo version 2.2, it's time to upgrade.
