How to I request a new feature? Or hire someone to build an add-on feature?
I need to be able to sort by color the way you can in Excel--by cell color or text color. |

No, Excel can not sort by color. It requires a macro or add-in in any case. Basically this requirement is nonsense since there are thousands of color shades. A red color can be different from another red color without visual evidence.
*ALL* spreadsheet programs calculate, sort and filter by data and nothing but data. If you hide your information behind formatting attributes that is your individual mistake. Which crude requirement comes up next? Sorting by border thickness multiplied by font height?
Entering data in cells and then apply conditional formatting based on the data is by far easier, more efficient and you get the same result. You would sort by values which includes the conditional formatting (color or whatever combination of attributes).

Villeroy, you are wrong. I sort by color everyday in Excel.
Does anyone know how to request a new feature? Or hire someone to build a plug-in for it? |

You have installed an extension or you are using Excel 2010. After 2 decades MS Excel subjected to its most stupid users.
When this software implements this bullshit it's be time to remove it from my disk. So I won't post the 4,978th link to the bug tracker. Instead I recommend to use MS Excel.
