Currency Symbol (Rupee)

I am using Libreoffice 3.5.3. Till 3.4 version I was able to use proper currency symbol
₹ in my calc files. After the update it is giving me some garbage symbol.
It there any way to get back the symbol? Or is it possible in OOo to get the symbol. OOo gives symbol as Rs.

Operating System: Mac OSX Lion
Libreoffice 3.5.3; OOo 3.4
