Hello Calc users,
The OOoAuthors project of OpenOffice.org is working on the User Guide for OOo version 2. Currently we are writing the chapters for the
Calc guide and would like input, technical assistance, editorial reviews and just plain grammar and spelling checks from Calc users like you. All of the OOo components, such as Writer, Draw, Base and Impress are being documented, so if you have a preference for one of them we have work for you, too.
Please see this thread for more information, OOoAuthors is looking for volunteers. _________________ Rick B.

maybe it's just me, but i've found some confusion in the guide when i try to figure out where i am.
for example, in the section "Grids" i finally figured out that it's regarding "charts" and not "spreadsheets" -- i was searching everywhere on the insert menue for "Insert - Grids."
the same goes for the "Insert" section -- turns out, i was in the insert section for charts and didn't realize it! (if you do a find for "gridlines" in help, you'll get three results so you can see what exactly i'm talking about, but this happens to me a lot in the help file!)
what would help is a function of moving up a level -- not just back or home, but up -- or at least seeing a tree to find where in the submenu i am.
send me a private message if i need to clarify more (or if there's already a way to do this and i've not figured it out!).
thanks, aaron |

I have just downloaded and installed OO 2.x. There is on-line help for Writer but it is apparently missing for Calc. Surely "Currently working on Calc" does not mean there is no help whatsoever until it's finished? Can the help files be downloaded separately?
Thanks, |

I think a list of all the operators and functions with a basic description of there uses would be about the handiest thing you could possibly add.

| Anything would be an improvement over the last help file. Do not take lessons from Microsoft. I can't find any help at all, either here on the forum or especially in the so-called help file of the version I have now. Very frustrating. |
