Hello, these days, I've searched the form, and want to know how to add custom text content like text field, which is secondary data level of the document, but can edit it's content directly, rather than click the text field and popup the dialog. this feature looks like MSHTML's "Edit Graph", does any know? Thanks!

Sorry for poor English!

I don't know if I have really understood your question, but what about using cross-references?

I have tested cross-references, but it needs some reference source, this is not my expectation. May be i must simply my question.

I need a text field that just show the string, and I can edit its content just like normal text string without any dialog. But now we can not edit the string in the fields that the Writer inserted directly, they must be edit in a popup dialog.

May this description is clear!

Text field strings must be edited in some sort of dialog so what you ask is not possible.

You can be queried for their content when you open the document. Would that help?

thanks for your reply. Mmm, seems there are no other ways. but can I write a custom text field class as UNO service, so that I can insert my custom text field and control its behavior such as mouse click or keyboard event? I looked up in the developer guide, but there is no information about how to custom text field.
