I posted this bug for LibreOffice and I am wondering if the same thing is an issue in OpenOffice. Copying from a cell in CALC adds a CR to the end of the string copied. So when you paste it multiple times, instead of showing up as "PASTEPASTEPASTEPASTE" It shows up as:
PASTE
PASTE
PASTE
PASTE
I can't copy data from spreadsheet into accounting software because it doesn't like the CR char at the end. So, I have to paste it into notepad and then copy it again.
If anyone else has an issue because of this, please give it some recognition. _________________ Jared |

Calc crashes when I enter data that uses over 50,000 lines. I have 3 crashed files that either take several minutes to open or won't open at all ... yes, the last time one file took to open was a full 10 minutes, 50,000 lines x 6 columns, file won't even open now at all.
List of book authors, crashes, 55,000 lines by 1 column has crashed 2ce now.
Base crashes when using built in templates, on edited built in templates, and self created built in templates.
If Calc has 1048576 lines x 1024 columns, and it can't handle 50,000 x1... there are some serious programming issues on this. I could understand a full page of data being slow to open, but not 50,000 lines. I realize that OO is free to use, but if it doesn't work, its not worth the price. I've used OO for several years without any problems, no crashes, no issues at all. but now?? If it doesn't work, if I can't retrieve my data, its worthless.
I have even uninstalled OO 3.4, rebooted, installed java 6.33 then 7.x, installed OO again and it still crashes. |
