Is it possible to create a function for Calc?

Hello.

Is it possible to create a new mathematical function that I can then call in formulas in cells?

For example, in A5 I could put

=A3*myFunction(B1:B5;C1:C5)

? I assume it needs basic programming, but is it at all feasible?
