Can one upgrade in Open office with latest updates?

Can one upgrade in Open office with latest updates? Or we have to download a new version of it

There is a function which tells you about updates, and I believe that one is supposed to download and install those updates for you. I have never managed to make that work.

I didn't put a lot of effort into it, because with current network speeds the download of a full install is not very time consuming. For my current work I need to have both suites, and I generally spend more time in Microsoft update, downloading MS Office updates mostly, than I do with the OpenOffice.org updating (and still the Secunia tools report more vulnerabilities on my MSO than on my OOo).
