|
|
Just installed Oracle Report Builder. I followed the instructions on how to select it to create reports. I use the option "create in design mode" not the wizard. The new report designer does show up and a table selection appears when creating a new report; however I can not for the life of me figure out where the setting is or why there is no menu at the top or options for toolbars. I have tried clicking everywhere, right mouse clicking etc. The only thing I can do is get the properties window to open up.
Now, am I being stupid or just missing something. If I save the report and reopen it with "edit" I still don't see a toolbar or even a menu appear. I have tried minimizing, maximizing, restarting openoffice, restarting my system; you name it.
Any ideas??
Thanks

After starting you OpenOffice Base File ( *.odb ) and Create Report in Design View...
From the Menu: View -> Toolbars
and choose the Toolbars you want.
If you do NOT see any menu, try: Ctrl + v

Thanks Sliderule, will give it a go. I will have to use the ctrl+v because no menu appears at all.
Will report back. |

Sliderule:
Thanks again for your help. Did not need it. For some reason this time when I started the program the menus came up.
I did mark the topic solved so moderators would know.
Thanks again. |

| An additional "bit" of "the secret" is that you must not only shut down your database, but also shut the OO Quickstarter between early it-won't-work travails and the hey!-now-it-works! happy time. |
