I have seem to encounter an anomaly in LibreOffice Calc 3.45 - somehow, the dates, i.e. 06/08/12 are changed 2 to 4 days less than what I entered. If I set the Options -> Calculate -> Date to "01/01/1900 (StarCalc 1.0)" then the entered dates I entered will be 2 days less than what I entered, and if I set that to "12/30//1899 (Default)", than the days will be 4 days less than what I entered.
I don't know if this is a new bug or something I'm suddenly not doing right these past few days. |

Thank you floris_v for the site reference - this is not a "bug" but I needed to have the info on hand you supplied anyway. The problem appears to come from switching the options around (which I referenced in my OP) ... I did not know that would alter the dates already entered previously to the option switch and that not only that, but the date setting (12/30/1899 (default), etc) is specific to each document it is set.
Bottom line: it is best to leave those settings alone except for when importing StarCalc 1.0 and some foreign spreadsheets (which use 01/01/1904 as day zero).
PROBLEM SOLVED. |
