|
|
Have just updated to 3.4.0. When ever I wish to call up a text document, it opens via OpenOffice. The previous 3.3.0 allowed me to call up my text documents via Microsoft word (Which is my preferred default)
How can I stop 3.4.0 assuming the default WP position?
Thanks in advance

You need to change that at the operating system level, in your case Windows I presume. Control panel - Standard programs (I have the Dutch Windows interface so bear with me), select Link a file type to a program, scroll down to .doc, select it, click Other program, etc.
Alternatively, install again, and when the install program asks you to open text, spreadsheet, and presentation files with OOo, un-tick those options. After that they will most likely be opened again by the default applications. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

Thanks floris_v
overcame the problem by stopping OO at start up - then reinstalling/repairing the M/S word program. This has accomplished what I needed, to revert to the original operating preference
Thanks for your input _________________ Purgatory |
