Hi there, I am creating a tear tag flyer ~ the main body is going horizontally across the page. I need to add a strip across the bottom which goes vertically (this is where I am putting my phone #) and people can tear my phone # off the bottom but the rest of the Flyer stays on the bulletin board~ do you know what I mean ?
How do I do this, I tried rotating a "Rectangle" shape but that didn't work.
any ideas would be appreciated right now.
Thanks, Shorty |

OMG I figured it out ! I can't believe it ! This is what I did.
After typing the main part of the flyer, I needed to add a strip along the bottom with my contact info.
I inserted a Text Box
Adjusted text (size, Style, color etc)
Clicked the Rotate button (Modify >>Rotate)
Right clicked on the text and select >> "Position and Size" and finally
Put a check mark in "Fit height to text"
Then copy and paste along the length of the page until it is finished.
Voila ! _________________ Carol & Frank Michaud

Oh well, I wasn't sure if anyone else could see that or not. anyway it is just a tear tag, nothing spectacular, but I was just amazed that I figured it out, I thought it was going to be right difficult or something ~ but it wasn't. I mean compared to some of the things that I am reading here, that other people are acheiving. lol Mega Cool software !! _________________ Carol & Frank Michaud

Glad to have a satisfied customer
I think we are all learning, each and every day again, Each day we come across new possibilities, extra's, wont't works etc etc.
It is just great fun when you can make things work. Either for yourself or for others.
Most of us are just having fun with OOo, I think I may say that you do too _________________ DiGro

You are sOOo right !! lol (pardon the pun)
I really enjoy learning new things also, and that seems to happen every day.
And I am sure many people are thankful for this program, and that it available at no cost. As an Independent Business Person, "Shoestring Budget" takes on a new meaning when you are starting a Business for under $500 ~ you have to be "Inventive" . Putting up tear tag flyers is a good way to get the message out ~ initially.
So I am off to do some more learning,
Thanks again,

You have to take it from the toolbar Drawing ( to activate View > Toolbars and select Drawing)
It is the big letter T on the toolbar Drawing.
Click on it and draw a square in your textdocument _________________ DiGro
