OS X Lion
OO 3.4 Writer has lost the spreadsheets (small ones) that I embedded in document.
LO 3.5 can't read them either. Just get a small bitmap of a yellow plug and "object nn"
I really need those tables. Don't have a backup (only Dropbox in case I loose media - nothing to protect against data corruption as I save different revisions (and hence different filenames) of documents about one a week - it's thursday today).
Have been an OO user for a decade. Have had such probelms before in the StarOffice 6 days, but this is really a big problem now.
Any suggestions? I need this data for work! |

Your file may have become corrupted. You can open it with zip software and make sure that the folder where objects and object references are stored actually contains data. (There was a case where all or most formula objects in a file had gone and only small object icons were displayed in the file). You can make a small test file with one ole object in it to see how that is stored in the zip archive and compare that with your damaged file. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista
