|
|
Hi,
I'm sure I'm missing something simple here.
I have two columns in a spreadsheet that display a time. I want the time format to be HH:MM. However the default time format is HH:MM:SS.
I'm wondering if there is any way I can set the default format for the spreadsheet to HH:MM.
The problem occurs when I insert new rows, the cells in the new rows for those columns default to HH:MM:SS, and I have to re-format the cells to my desired HH:MM format.
Anyone know of a way of doing this?
Cheers JB |

You will need to create anew default template. I think if you select the whole spreadsheet (click in square in top left of sheet – above 1 and left of A) and go to Format>Cells...>Numbers, then select Time and delete the :SS from the Format code and click OK. Go to File>Templates>Save, put in a name and save it. Go to File>Templates>Organize, select your template and under the Commands button select Set As Default Template. Close OpenOffice. When you re-open it you should have HH:MM as your default time format. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.6 on Fedora 18, LibreOffice 4.0.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 (Double Boot) |
