Every time I make a document with multiple copies of the same picture, Open Office creates a "picture in picture" effect.

For example, today I wanted to print multiple coupons in one document in order to save paper:

http://img826.imageshack.us/i/oopicdoc.png/

But when the document is printed, it creates this 'picture in picture' effect:

http://img843.imageshack.us/i/ooproblempicinpic.png/

This happens in both Open Office Text Documents and Open Office Drawing, Version 3.2.1. I have tried dragging and dropping the images, inserting the images from a file, and inserting the images into a table. The document looks fine in the Page Preview but it always prints with a picture in a picture. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong, or how to get around this problem?

Hi,

I tested this using OO 3.2.1 on Linux. I inserted a single image, copied the image by selecting it, using ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to insert the image. I then dragged the copied image to different location within the document. Due to the lack of a working printer I exported to a pdf file. The pdf file looked fine. So this might be a problem of either your printer driver or the printing module of OO. As a workaround, try export to e pdf file and then inspect it and print it if it looks ok.

If printing and pdf export look different, please consider to file a bug report.

Cheers J.

I have exactly the same problem with a .odt file created with Writer.
The image in the document looks fine in Page Preview but when printed there is a second smaller image overprinting the original image.
Does the original poster or anyone else have a solution?
Thanks in anticipation.
