|
|
Trying to automate an action sequence, I used the macro recording facility in CALC to obtain some code. However, there seems to be a bug here.
Open a new blank workbook
Tools>Macro>record macro
Place cursor on any cell
Place cursor against any *complete* row (eg select row 10)
Edit>Delete contents>Delete all
Stop recording
Save macro
Examine the saved macro and step through it if required
The actions carried out will only delete the contents of the *last* selected cell
(Can be verified by filling cells' contents with dummy data and observe what happens when the macro is run)
Unless anyone can fault the actions that I have detailed, will raise it as a bug on the appropriate site for Linux/Ubuntu/Open Office |

you are right, but it is known that the macro recorder is very unreliable, if you want use macros you have to learn basic. _________________ If your problem has been solved please add "[Solved]" to the beginning of your first post title (edit button). |
