I have been using InDesign for over 15 years so I am pretty used to using styles, however, the styling in Impress is driving me crazy. Can someone explain to me how this works. I create a style for my Heading 1, my Body Text, and my Bullets. But when I select the line I want to apply it to, it changes the whole text box! Do I seriously have to create a new text box for each of my items. One for the heading, one for the body, and one for any bullets?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Hello
The formatting in Impress is a little different then for other parts of OOo. It is a combination of master pages and styles. You set the formatting for one set of masters pages and then you select a master page.

I see. The presentations I have to make aren't consistant. No two slides will look the same, so I would need a different master page for each slide. I was just looking for an easy way where I could have a large text box and then "mark-up" the text as need: heading, body text, bullet list, subhead, etc., just like I do it in InDesign or Word. It looks like it will just be easier for me to do it without styles.
Thanks. |
