Hi,
I am having a problem with the spell checker. It seems to underline every word with a red wavy line. Not just the words that are wrong. I have tried to re-install but no change. I am using version 3.4. It never happened on earlier versions.
Cheers,
David |

| The language of the dictionary is UK English. If I right-click on an underlined word, and then click add, that word is on longer underlined. This makes me think that there ian't a dictionary there. |

Have you tried the links in my previous post? Can you tell where they fail you? _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

| Yes, I've followed the links and can make no sense of it. I have tried everything but it still underlines everything. |

Check your user profile. Click here for help how to do that. Look in the folder uno_packages\cache\uno_packages. That lists a lot of temp folders, check out each of them until you find dict-en.oxt (that contains dictionaries for BR, US, AU, ZA) or dict-en-nz[...].oxt. Make sure that those dictionaries are okay. If you can't find them, they weren't properly installed. It seems that if you have AOO 3.4 and En-NZ, the NZ dictionary has to be un-installed because it causes the En spell check to fail. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

I have found the dict-en.oxt file in the Program Files section and when I double click it, it open the Extensions Manager and comes up with a message :-
'c:\.\..\Application Data\OpenOffice.org\3\user\uno_packages\SU1i3nw.tmp\dict-en.oxt does not exist'.
What next?

Thanks very much. Resetting the user profile seems to have done the trick.
Cheers,
David :) |
