For some reason, if I try to change case in formatting, OO closes without making the change.
It has worked fine until today. |

What version of OOo? What operating system? Needless to say, it doesn't happen on my system.

Okay, does it happen in a test file or in all files or only in files in, say, MS Word format?

I've just downloaded the English (GB) 3.4.1 version and that works fine. |

That's a developer snapshot/beta version, it may still have bugs.
