Missing name tabs on Multipage spreadsheet

I have multiple graphs in calc - about 10 - under Windows 7.
However, I can no longer page between them. The slider which for scanning across the spreadsheet takes up the almost all the width of the screen, and covers up the tabs for the sheet names. I am forever stuck in sheet 5 of 13.
A similar problem with multipe straightforward spreadsheets went away when I opened and closed the file.
Any suggestions?

If you look at the slider bar, to its left is an arrow and then a vertical bar,
hover over the vertical bar with the mouse, when the pointer changes you will be able to drag that bar to the right and uncover your tabs.
and
to the left of the tabs you will see arrow buttons that will move the tabs left and right as wanted.
