Hi folks!
i am a beginner and cannot manage to save a document, i have opened a new doc, typed and when i do save as, all i get is the fiile but i cannot get a way to type the name i want to giive to my doc. how do i do? I tried file properties but this doesno't change the name of the file on my desk...

Saving documents should be basically easy... Anyway if you want more information try searching in OpenOffice Help: Saving Documents (check find in headings only)  _________________ # : - ) |

Hello Donald Duck!
Thanks a lot. My question was too simple for so many others, they couldn't be bothered to answer...
it should be basically easy but when a system is new to you you don't always follow its internal logic and as I have habits from other systems where you can save just by using ctrl and s, I needed some help Thanks. |

Does:
File => Save As... (or ALT+F, then press A) doesn't work? If it doesn't work for you then I cannot help you anymore  _________________ # : - ) |
