|
|
If I enable the vertical ruler (on the left) and set my units to inches for both rulers, then they both change. BUT... when you exit Writer and come back to it, the vertical ruler has changed back to cm.
I've seen this happen on Win98 and XP. Can someone confirm this?
I searched Issuezilla and didn't find anything related to this, however I am unfamiliar with it and I am not sure I am doing it right.

| It will stick if you change it through the Tools Options dialog rahter than through right clicking the ruler. |

I did change from tools->Options. I did not know that it could be changed by right clicking. BTW, I am using 1.0.2.
My exact procedure: (All from the Tools->Options dialog)
1) Made the vertical ruler visible
2) Changed the units for both horizontal and vertical from cm to inches.
3) Click Ok.
Change is made, but the vertical ruler is back to cm when I exit the program and restart

I had the same problem...then, in Options, I went to 'Text Document', then opened the 'General' window, and changed cm to inches there. The change has stuck!

| No luck. I tried exactly what you said, and it was pretty much the same thing I did. The vertical ruler will not remember inches! |

I think it might be on General costumize. The same way you change the parameters for number separations (EUR " , ") (US ".")
Maybe there you could change the measurement features also. _________________ Alexandro Colorado

| Out of curiosity, I tested this on my XP system and no, the setting does not stick. Later, I'll test it on my linux system. You should file a bug in Issuezilla. |
