|
|
I have a document which sometimes exhibits the following behaviour:
1. open the document, do page preview - all appears fine - it matches the normal view with no blank pages
2. print the document - a blank page appears in the resulting document
3. look at page preview - it now also shows a blank page
4. close page preview - the document in normal view is still showing correctly ie with no blank page.
This behavious is showing not just on my setup but also on a colleagues setup with different printer etc.
The document is a number of pages of introdcution, followed by a TOC for the remainder of the documnet. The blank page is appearing just before the TOC
It is the same on 1.0.3, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
Basically we do not want this blank page to appear.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks

More information.
It seems as if the blank page is only inserted before the TOC if the TOC starts on an odd numbered page.
Is there some setting for a TOC or style asociated with a TOC that determines where TOC should appear in the finished document - I can understand this might be important if printing a book in duplex format but not otherwise. |

What you have identified appears to be a known issue. See:

Thanks for that information - at least I know I'm not going mad - yet Just need to see if there is a work round I can apply now as the documents are prduced dyanamically and I don't know exactly where the TOC will appear - left or right page. Ah well - more midnight oil. |
