I have csv files that contain "¶" to represent a new line. Once I load these files into Calc, how can I change this to an actual new line? I can manually go in and type Ctrl-Enter, but I can't figure out any find & replace way to do this. I can use regular expressions in Writer to replace ¶ with \n and it works, but this just puts "\n" in its place in Calc. Any thoughts? _________________ Dave Stephenson |

Can I recommend freeware http://liquidninja.com/metapad/
The FIND and Replace allows you to do many different things including replacing tabs new lines and more., to create a CSV you must SAVE AS and give the file a .csv tag
then open in Calc using tab or comma or whatever you prefer.
I also use metapad as a quick notebook that stays stuck to the glass on top of ALL other programmes _________________ carl
