I have OO-1.1.4 installed on my Linux (FC3) machine.
I want to try and work with the test version of OO-2.0.
Can I have dual installation of OO-1.x and OO-2.x without one interfering eith the other?
If I decide to uninstall OO-2, will that bring setting back to the current state (OO-1.x only) ? |

From what I can see, 2.0 installs all its stuff in separate directory and hence shall not affect older OO installed.
I have both 1.1.2 and 2.0 installed with no problem. Uninstalling 2.0 does not affect my installation.
That's my personal experience. |

what OS do you use? Linux? WinXP?
Since 2.0 is installed with RPMs, it cannot be locally installed by a user, that means a system level installation of OpenOffice.
So how is the ~/.openoffice differentiate between 1.1.2 and 2.0 ? |
