How do I get the 'Inside" address from a letter I have written to appear automatically in the addressee part of an envelope. I've been able to do this with all other Word Processors I have used beforie coming to Open Office.
Thank you. _________________ Jack Gillis |

If you are using Insert > Envelope then you can't. The best you can do is copy & paste.
I solve this by creating my own envelope and combining it with my letterhead template. The address is an Input Field, base on a User Field previously defined. You are queried for the address when you open the template and it is repeated as the normal User Field in the envelope.
All these variable type are found at Insert > Fields > Other (or Ctrl+F2) on the Variable tab. If the rest of this makes no sense to you search, for "User Field" in posts by me for a better explanation. |
