| I need to daily convert XLS files to CSV files, using a tab as a separator. I've been doing it manually, but would love to create a script so I can run it from the command line. |

I think it can be done... but like you i don't know how (and haven't exerted an effort to do so).
However searching the forum for: convert xls csv command line
