Hi,
I'm trying to use OpenOffice as a batch conversion tool on my website. The problem is, that i'm having an account on a linux webserver of my provider and enough space, but i don't have root access and also there's no x11 support.
I hope I could overcome the lacking X11-support with some framebuffer server tricks , but is there any way to get a silent installation of openoffice done into my home directory (just via ssh) ?
Thanx for any ideas ...

Read this thread http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=11890. It hast answers to framebuffer and silent installation. I've never done a silent installation, but I use the framebuffer xvfb on Solaris successfully.
With kind regards
