Hi, I'm planning to use OpenOffice Writer instead of the Microsoft Word to write my reports. I'm now testing some Math equations. I saw that there is too much space between formulas and the normal text as you see in the picture. I want them to stay together with no spaces, is that possible?.

I have a new spacing problem. As you can see in the image although my formula frame style's spacings are all 0 and also the spacing of math objects' borders are 0 it leaves a space under the formula.

Can't see the screenie, dead link. To get around it you could always put formulae on separate lines. That's what I always do to get around the alignment problems when entering in Maths.

The link isn't dead I think? I use formulas inside the content pretty much (For example if I write "to calculate x^2") so it's not a suitable solution for me to put all formulas on seperate lines.
Oh ok, because of my internet's problem about some internet sites I cannot enter all the web pages including official OOO site that's why I cannot look the bug lists. |

You could just superscript the power. That's not really a formulae, harder maths with loads of factors and calculus are what the equation editor is really meant for. If you can write it in normal text then do it that way because it will be much more reliable.
