I am using the most recent beta (1.9.93). I uninstalled the previous beta.
But how do I uninstall my original 1.1.3? It is not listed in the control panel>>uninstall programs list. And I can't find an uninstall .exe in its numerouls folders.
Do I just delete it?

There is still no final version of OOo 2.0. All of the builds so far are not final because they are not ready for use on a production system. Things are still changing regularly. You really should keep 1.1.x until the final 2.0 is released as 1.9.x really could crash and burn.
If you're running under Windows then it really should have entries in Add/Remove programs. It does still work, yes? Just deleteing the files isn't going to fix everything. You would then have to reassociate the file types with OOo 1.9.93.
Unless you really do need 150Mb of drive space back that urgently, keep 1.1.x. _________________ Arch Linux

No, it doesn't work. Hasn't since I loaded up 1.1.79.
Perhaps I will reload the 1.1.3 and then perhaps delete it.
I keep all the .zip files, so deleting it is not an issue, since I can just reinstall.
I want to delete is to clean up my right click menu. Also the file associations were getting complicated.
Thanks for the advice tho. I'll get it restarted then reconsider deleting.

I presume you mean 1.9.79. That's odd. You didn't install to the same directory I hope as that would have caused problems. If it's no longer in add/remove programs then it has either been deleted or by some bizzarre chance it's registry entry has been removed and the files corrupted at the same time.

This would almost certainly work but you would be better off keeping 1.1.3 on as well, or better 1.1.4 with the new patch until the final 2.0 release comes out.

I assume you mean the template entries. You can remove these by removing the file types from your templates directory. Under WinNT this will be within /Documents%20and%20Settings/[user]/templates. Remove the ones that you no longer want. You can also reassociate all of the file types to whatever. _________________ Arch Linux

I reinstalled the 1.1.3 and it worked wonderfully. I then uninstalled it, which it again did wonderfully.
I have many documents saved in various formats, .rtf, txt, doc, sxw, odt, etc etc. I want to use one program for all of them. With the other versions still on the system. opening the previous documents into one program was getting hairy.
I will download the 1.1.4 and keep it on hand.
Thanks again.
