My OpenOffice1.1.4 went heywire after I tried to replace the sot645mi.dll (reported to be suspect). Too many of the functions were failing so I removed as much of the entire OO program as I could. I wonder about the page that appears when my computer is booting....it is filled with Sunmicrosystem references. I did have StarOffice prior to OpenOffice, but removed StarOffice. I somehow think this boot page shouldn't be there, unless the sunmicrosystem references are to some other programs on my computer. I would like to clear out anything that doesn't belong and start fresh with OpenOffice. I could use some advice as to what I should look for. And how important is it to replace the sot645mi.dll file?
Thanks. Ron |
