Hi all,
I've devellopped a collection of macros for my grandma (a simplified set of dialog boxes : open, save, ...) and would like to make it multi-lingual (as my step grandma speaks dutch). Do you think it would be possible to use the locale system and write my own language packages?
In advance thank you

Martin, why should you,
be a good grandson and download the Dutch version for your step grandma
Here's where the latest stable Windows-version (and other)(OOo 1.1.4) is:
http://nl.openoffice.org/downloaden.html
Versions of OOo can live perfectly next to one another as I have noticed,
so if you have the space, she can have her own Dutch build
(then she won't be in you're way too )
Since you're probably bi-lingual installation should be no problem, its the same as any other build.
O ja, doe de groetjes aan oma

Thank you DiGro,
The thing is that I have written loads of macros (to simplify the OO interface) and would like to translate them as well. Would it be possible to re-write my macros in a "multilingual" way sot that my dialogs appear in the correct language when the system is run?
Cheers !

Sorry,
I think I know what you mean, but don't know ..... about that tech stuff.
I can't imagine that you can switch the interface from English to Dutch and back
again.
I think that in that case you indeed have to adjust your macro's, but........
that's non-tech person speaking.
Maybe one of our tech guys at the nl mailinglists or this forum knows the answer
