I'm wondering if anyone else is having a problem connecting to a calc (sxc or ods) file from Open Office 2 Beta. When I try to open the tables from the Data Sources panel, I get the following error:
The connection to the data source "<datasource name>" could not be established.
The connection to the external data source could not be established. No SDBC driver was found for the given URL.
(I have Windows version of 1.9.95 and Java JRE1.4.2_03)
Also, does anyone know if its possible to access the Mail Merge similar to 1.1 instead of having to go through the wizard?

cloph has just posted a reply to the issue I raised in Open Office's bug tracker, so just thought I'll post it here in case someone else might be wondering how to access a Spreadsheet as a data source.

Use File-> New -> Database
Select "Connect to existing database"
-> Select Type "Spreadsheet-Document"
click next -> click "Browse" to point to the spreadsheet-document
finish the assistant.
-> worksforme. |
