|
|
I've not long been using open office, and this is a slight irritant, though irritating definately. I open writer, (in the 2.0 beta) and the position of the blank paper is WAAAAAY on the left. Not centre. How do I change this ? The toolbar at the bottom wont allow it as it is static, and no allowance to move. Up and down only, and not much at that. How do I alter the page position ? |

Is evident that the definition of "irritant" is very personal... But if you search in the forum, you'll find that this was discussed many times (including a poll...) The "behaviour" you point is standard, and I may say intended: this "nasty space" could be used to anchor the stylist, or the navigator, or both.
In my personal point of view, this is not a problem: I seldom use writer in full screen.
Sorry if I can't help you (in fact, I can't understand the "problem") I think there are more important issues than this one. |

Thanks for your help (actually no, thats not correct is it ? You didnt help. Oh well...)
And no, it's not full screen. I'm not that sure you know what I'm referring to, actually. (thats not meant nastily, but I must admit puzzlement as to why you're merely lecturing rather than assisting) |

PD: I still don't understand the problem... |
Actually, I have a bit of a gall to criticise anyone. I have a habit of being extremely aggressive in political discussions on forums paticularly the bbc forums - I am neither left nor right and detest 'em both ! (or football - english football - soccer)
But not understanding the problem:- its just like looking at something which is off-centre, but shouldn't be. If its only to be a quick glimpse, it hardly matters. But looking at it over a long while is another matter entirely.
Oh - and David - worked a treat - thanks ! |
