Hi,
I recently tried to uninstall my OO 1.1.3 through the setup command in my openoffice folder. I successfully uninstalled it to make way for v1.1.4 (the documentation at OO.org says it's necessary to uninstall).
However, I found that files that were previously associated with v1.1.3 no longer opens when I double-click on them. I believe the link between v1.1.3 as the "default" application for these files (doc, sxw, xls, sxc, etc) is still there. Even in my office application links the old openoffice links to v1.1.3 is still there.
How can I solve this problem? I tried removing v1.1.3 again through Fedora's Package Management but it refuses to do so Reason given was that certain packages were missing (due to my previous attempt to remove v1.1.3).
Would be grafeful for some help!!! |

I don't have much experience with Linux, but wouldn't installing 1.1.4 overwrite the file associations that are there?
