Maybe I am doing something wrong, but maybe this is a bug:
I am preparing a presentation and I would like the bullet points to appear and then change colour when I move on to the next bullet (instead of disappearing completely).
I thought that this was exactly what the "dim with colour" option was achieving, but instead the text changes immediately after appearing.
The only work around I have found is to create two custom animations i.e. appear followed by change colour, but this is not practical and actually it makes me wonder what is the use of the appear --> dim with colour.
Well, if you also believe it is a bug, please vote for it: 53733
Cheers,

I asked the same question recently but no one seems to have an easy reply.
My version is 1.1.1 in Windows 2000 Pro, and the closest I can come to the dimming effect (as you change focus on a line) comes from opening a presentation made in ppt in oo. The dimming occurs but speeds thru the entire slide. I prefer to control the presentation line by line, and in reverse as well as forward directions.
Have you made any progress in solving this yet?
Do you know if working on the timing speed gives us what we want?
