Hi,
I'm using open office v. 1.1.2 and the spell checker doesn't find any spelling problems in my documents... i have no idea whether its an installation problem or whether there is something wrong with the program...
if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated

Well,
it is quiet simple, you're a very good typist 
This might sound stupid, but did you activate te Spellchecker with F7 ?
Else check Tools > Opties > Languagesettings > Languages/ Linguistic to see
if the settings match your wishes.

hey, thanks for ur reply, but i figured out the problem. i just had to download a dictionary. i no longer have to use an online spellchecker
