I want to inser a field in a document (writer) that show the today date and time, I tried some fileds but I need to save or print the document, only with this the is uptadet to today, I want a field that is updated every time I open the document.

Insert > Fields > Other, on the the Document tab select Date on the left and the Date item in the middle that is not "(fixed)". Same for Time.
If you are using templates and want your document to have and retain the current creation date and time then you use the "(fixed)" ones which will assume these when you create a new doc from the template and they will not change when you reopen that new document tomorrow. |
