|
|
I've just downloaded OpenOffice 1.9.125 (2.0 beta) - it's been a few months since I last used OOo 1.1.4 and I have to say I think the new-look interface is sweet, and the spreadsheet can handle WAY larger file sizes than Ability Office's spreadsheet (the software I've been using this year.)
However one little query - in the OOo quickstarter in the taskbar, there are two options - "Open Document" and "From Template". How can I add these to my Start Menu?
In 1.1.4, they were part of the OOo program group but I don't know the command line needed to re-create them.
For the curious, I stuck these at the top of my Start Menu and renamed them to "New Office Document" and "Open Office Document" to simulate the MS Office program items - it makes users feel more comfortable.
Thanks. _________________ Andy Shellam

Im figuring it's something like
<path_to_OOo>\program\soffice -<command>
Any ideas on the <command> to create the open/new dialogs? _________________ Andy Shellam

Hi andyccn,

From Template = "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 1.9.125\program\soffice.exe" .uno:NewDoc
