| I cannot even install OO. I get the error unverified installer (.msi file) or installer package could not be opened. I have downloaded all new patches from Microsoft. I m running it on XP home SP 2 build 2600. I have never been able to get anything but version 1.1.4 to install. Can anyone help. |

hoati,
Well, you and I seem to have exactly the same OS, but I am having no problems ( at least by comparison ) with installing OO.o. I have installed 1.9.x, 2.0RCx and 1.1.5.
One thing, OO.o seems to really disklike being cramped - hold on I have to stop laughing here - so, silly question number one. You have plenty of free system memory right.
To be fair, I gave a copy of 1.9.125 to a friend with an XP system, only 128 Meg...OO.o ran like an absolute dog - but it did install. Now, in fairness, I found some problems with here machine in general, and everything was running like a dog...when I got it all straightened ou things improved, but not enough to be really useful unitl I kicked her RAM up to 512M.
