I have loads of doc files in Windows98 that I'd really like to transfer (actually copy) to Linux. I'm using OOo 1.0.1 on both OS's. Forgive me if it's a stupid question, but is this possible? If it is...how? Thank you. _________________ Sarcasm. Another service I offer. |

I very much appreciate the help, Jim. Unfortunately, I am a newbie and it sounds complicated. Is there a way to do it off floppy or cd? _________________ Sarcasm. Another service I offer. |

| Sure, just save the files on the cd and then open the cd on linux. You might also use a floppy disk to do the same task and as easy, just save the files on the floppy and open the disk on linux. But, mounting the hard disk is easy. You might search for information on "mounting hard disk on linux" on the web. You might also try looking for help in linux. Try this command on the bash shell "man mnt" |
