[solved]Automatically getting data from one sheet to another

I hope someone can help me with this problem.
On a sheet called "data" I have about 500 dates in the 'A' column followed by several columns of data and other columns with formulas.
On a sheet called "dates" I have about 20 dates in the 'A' column.
What I want to do is transfer the values only on the corresponding row from "data" to the row with the matching date on the "dates" sheet.
I can, of course, do this manually by finding the correct date row, selecting it, hitting cntr-c, then going to the other sheet, selecting the row and hitting paste-special-numbers only.
It would be great to set this up to do this automatically.

Maybe use a combination of INDEX and MATCH functions like on attached doc...
