I joined on 13 May and posted a query under the heading Working with Microsoft Works WP and Corel WordPerfect Files. My post was the first one in 18 months. There has been no sign of any response. Is it possible that the thread is dead or dormant - if so what should I do?

Any contributors here are volunteers. You can have an answer within minutes, but a query can also remain unanswered for some time.
To increase your chance of a quick answer, make sure you ask for help in a clear and concise manner. If you provide all information you think is relevant, chances are that the first answer will be your solution. If information is missing, don't worry: people will ask for it.
Try to limit one thread to only one specific problem. You have different unrelated problems? Do not hesitate to open different threads (in the appropriate forum) for them.
Posts risk top remain unattended is the question is unclear, or if the problem is really very specific and difficult to solve: people indeed reply only if they feel they can help to solve, or at least can contribute information. _________________ --
