Thanks for your hints. Unfortunately they don't seem to solve my problem.
The spelling checker does work om my machine. It's the right language and I get the red wavy lines under misspelled (or suspect) words.
My problem is only that I can't add the suspect but correct words to the dictionary. Which means that nothing happens when I click the "ADD" button in the spellchecker menu (activated by pressing <F7>). |

I'm out of my depth. You can register at the new forum (see my signature for the link) and ask the question there. It's a more active forum than this one. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

So:
1.)
All icons, menus, everything is OK with spell checking.
Except two things:
a.) use my own dictionary
b.) extend the main dictionary with an unknown word
The version b what is problematic.
The spell checking's meaning is to correct the wrong words. But unknown words not spellable.
For example: Castaneda, nagual, tonal, etc.
The "Hozzáadás" (extend, add) button is not working for me. Sometimes disabled, sometimes it is don't do anything.
If I create a new dictionary, and I exit from OO, after the restart this dict is disappears.
2.)
I tried everything. These things are working with XP, but with Win7/X64 don't.
I used these functions with XP in another machine.
I use OOO320m19 (Build:9505), a hungarian (FSF) version.
This version well working in XP.
3.)
I deleted the user profile, uninstalled the OO, restart, install, restart, but the effect is same.
So some other problem is here.
The prev. version of OO installed in C:\OO, this version is installed to normal dir, c:\Program Files (x86).
So the problem is not vanished just nobody knows the solution as I see...

Yes! The standard.dic was missing from everywhere.
Now it's working well!
Thanks!
