| Help me please. I am using OOo 1.1.0 and my printer will not print. I have a hp deskjet 5550 and it is recognized by OOo when I go to print but when I click ok, nothing happens. Then I tried to login as root and configure the printer through Mandrake Control Center (using mandrake 10.0 official) and printed a couple test pages to make sure that all the signals were working. I printed a few test pages and found out that everything was hooked up correctly but when I try to print from OOo or a webpage, it won't print. Why? How do I fix this? I left windows to use linux but if I can't print, then I have to use windows again. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Hi,
I am using an HP Deskjet 5150 with SUSE 9.1. I can print either by selecting generic printer or my specific printer from the OOo print dialogue. That's no help to you I know.
If you click on the properties button in the print dialogue window, what are the settings on the device tab ?
Regards
