Hello,

I have been trying to find a sustainable solution for producing text. I think OOo Writer is a good choice, since the documents produced can be exported as HTML, DocBook Xml, published online in CMS applications like Lodel with a OOo server, etc. I guess the project is so massive and popular that i can have some confidence that bridges will allways be available to watever new technology comes up.

Now my problem is how to store the text. I would like to have all my texts, articles and notes in a single database file, that can be quickly searched, backed up, etc. I thought I could use SQLite for that purpose.

The idea would be to have a single file with all my articles, easily retrieavable and editable by Writer. It should be possible to make cross references between the articles, and also to export a selection of articles in whatever format desired.

My question is: has anybody tried to do something similar? which kind of problems appeared, and what where the solutions? Is it possible to save OOo Writer formated texts in DB fields? Did you use some custom form command to import and export text from the DB?

Cheers,

Alex
