I have this problem:
Linux Slackware 13.1
Open Office 3.2.1 (but the same was valid for 3.2.0)
Printer is ML2250 Samsung over a network (the same happens with usb connection)
Cups 1.4.3
I can print from Calc OK.
I can print a test page from spadmin OK.
I can print from Writer ok, if it is newly created plain text, or newly created odt or doc file.
When I try to print an existing odt or doc file created with a previous version of Ooo (2.4.0, 3.1.0 or other but not 3.2.0 or 3.2.1) then the same printer spits out a totally black page - only black colour, no letters or anything. The black print area of the page is divided by 7 equally spaced thin white stripes along the page height.
What is the reason for this?
If I copy/paste the contents of the document to a new document, then it prints OK. When I save this new document either as odt or doc - it still prints OK.
So this is only about old documents opened in Writer 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 ? |

Open one of your existing documents; make a change - add a space & delete it or anything. When you save it it should ask if you wish to use the original format or update to your current version. _________________ Steve ~ Tennessee USA
